(Appearing to Michael as the farmer that he was (and not in the guise of the Native Red Indian that Silver Star sometimes adopts when he is working spiritually) Silver Star began this lecture by showing Michael an image of a pig that was giving us a wonderful blessing, this was followed by the image of a tree emitting a beautiful rainbow of light and finally Silver Star showed Michael dry barren soil to illustrate the energy that should be radiating from the Earth but isn’t at the moment because great patches of our planet need healing).
SILVER STAR: The reason I brought the animal in was to make you think of the instruction that we get from all forms of life and to also remind us that all forms of life communicate with us; that the animal kingdom is perfectly capable of transmitting energies and blessings and the love of God and is a highly sophisticated expression of life that we treat very badly.
Not only do we treat animals badly but we ignore what the animal kingdom can give to us because the animal kingdom can actually give us unconditional love and can teach us through its simplistic approach with regard to the earthly mind, to Creation and to God. Even if a pig doesn’t ‘talk’ to you - what it represents should talk to you because it represents a better way of communicating with God - through simplicity, through acceptance, through a willingness to exist by allowing the life-force to flow through you and take you where it will.
A tree is a complex mechanism, a complex expression of life, but very simplistic (even more simplistic than the pig, than the animal kingdom) in the way that it operates, in the way that it exists, in the way that it is, and yet it is sentient and capable of communication with other trees and with the animal kingdom. A tree is an example for us of how we should live because a tree experiences growth through stillness. The tree doesn’t get up and walk anywhere; the tree is still, it is rooted to one spot (as people on Earth should be rooted to one spot - to the God within) and as a result of that, growth comes in - not only growth but an acceptance of change and, flowing through it, the means of coping with that change. Look how much longer the tree survives on Earth than you do.
To bring back the illustration of the Earth - the Earth also talks to you, talks to mankind, and the Earth at the moment is saying: ‘I am sick, I am out of harmony with my Creator because of your influence, because of the barrier that you have put up between me and my Source and my only way to regain energy at the moment is through you, through your actions. But you turn your back on me, everyday you turn your back on me and so my life force is dying out - rather more quickly than it was.’ But even in that - even in what you would consider a sick phase or a death throw - the Earth is talking to you and is saying: ‘If you turn your back on the Source then you die out. If you turn your back on the Source you die out!’ And that is what people on Earth are doing at the moment: they turn their back on the Source, on the God within.
And the whole of Creation talks to you - the animal kingdom, the plant life, the Earth itself - presents you with this message that God is constantly putting in front of your faces to show you a different way, to make you think. As technology advances, you divorce yourself from nature even more, you surround yourself with the heavy constructs that you make and you ignore the natural world. You plunder the Earth and then you ignore the Earth; you turn your back on the system of plant life, you turn your back on the oceans and increasingly you are becoming creatures who live isolated lives. There is a network of animal life, there is a network of plant life and there should be a network of human souls but those human souls are becoming far more isolated than they have ever been so they reject the God within, they reject companionship without and they expect the world to keep turning and to provide them with what they feel they need to be happy.
I have come as a farmer today because it is that connection with the land that I wanted to get across to you and the connection with the land and a respect for the land that is missing from human communication around the Earth. I now come in my guise as Silver Star to remind you that the Native Americans and other indigenous populations did communicate with the land, did communicate with animals. If they had to use an animal for food or for clothing that animal was asked before it was taken, its soul was dedicated to God and thanks were given for the aspects of that animal that necessarily had to be used in order to sustain people. Even that doesn’t happen today: you never consider that an animal is giving its life so that you can continue yours. You never consider that you are causing distress to an animal by the way that you dispatch it; you never consider that that animal has a soul; you never consider that you should thank it for the things that is giving you - much less consider that you should not, at this stage in your existence, be slaughtering animals anyway.
The indigenous populations spoke to the Earth, spoke to the animal kingdom, had respect for the skies and for the lands. As you spread out, as souls spread out (materially-minded souls) such concepts were crushed. Such concepts have been crushed in the name of religion: ‘Ours is a better way, you must stop revering nature, you must stop revering your animal gods that you can see (which are in fact devas), you must move from that, you must adopt our ways’. And slowly but surely those societies that were far better societies than the ones that you have today, were alienated and all but extinguished.
What you are witnessing is the spreading out or repeating of a pattern that (as Joseph has said, as some of the other guides have said) has happened before. But you are seeing the end of the disease not the beginning of the disease. You are seeing the disease choke society, choke the individual, choke the Earth and disaster looms - Joseph has said it, I am saying it - disaster looms unless (and it is a very late unless), unless there is a return to respect: respect for each other, respect for the animal kingdom, respect for the other forms of life around this world and very, very importantly, a respect for the planet itself.
How blinkered to use the facilities of a planet totally yet never to consider that that planet has any worth. It actually makes me sit down and cry at times because I return here and see that the blight that affects the network of life around this planet. The blight is becoming more voracious, is speeding up, as your technology speeds up, as you turn your back on the right way of living in order to receive and give the energies that you need to sustain life on this planet. The blight speeds up - there is not a lot of time left. People sit in their houses, children are educated in schools, people go to work, they go on holiday, they consider the future blindly, totally blindly. It seems in a morning when the sun rises that nothing could ever go wrong but it is wrong now, it is wrong within.
So what is to be done?
Fortunately, spiritual progress can be made in the blink of an eye; fortunately the path to reconstruction of the Earth is a quicker path, a shorter path, than the path of deconstruction of the Earth. Fortunately for every person that respects life, for every person that connects to life there is a strengthening of the planet, there is a strengthening of the connection to God. But this takes personal responsibility, this takes an attitude of: I want to change. I will change! What can I do to change? I am changing! There are no sidelines in the reconstruction of the planet, there is no opting out of the system because you are part of the system; the system either destroys itself or revives itself. What should be taught in schools gently but firmly is the connection of the soul to the planetary system, to the ecological system, and the need for respect for that system, respect for each other and the transmission of light.
There were times when souls talked to animals and animals talked to souls on the Earth. It no longer takes place except for in a few isolated areas. It is a natural thing on our side. We are all created equal and every expression of God is equal to every other expression of God and has been given equal facilities for communication and progression. And the people who eventually read this will probably wonder what about germs and microbes? What about cats and dogs and mice? Do they progress to a God-level? Yes, they do, but you must understand that areas of – it is a complex subject - that areas of life, areas of animal life are under the (control is the wrong word) are… I have to mention devas. Devas are souls – ‘nature souls’ is perhaps as good a term as any to describe them and (in the way that you have different parts of your body: you have fingers and toes and arms and legs and eyes and ears). Devas have expressions of life as different parts of their body, different parts of their make-up. They are a collective intelligence that runs through certain aspects of animal and plant life. So you can look at animal life and say: ‘I am not seeing an elephant, I am seeing an expression, a physical expression of part of the intelligence that makes up a deva.’ And so it is not that (as you are not really individualised) animals are not really individualised; they are expressions of a deva as you are an expression of God and the deva itself is an expression of God.
So it is the deva (according to a far different time scale than that of the human soul) that is progressing and so in that sense the microbes and the mice, and the dogs and the cats are progressing because they are part of the deva and they bring back to the deva their life experience which enables the deva to become more than it was before it sent out those expressions of itself (which is a parallel to how you operate because you are the illusion of individualisation sent out from God to gather information and experience, to take that back to the Whole so that God can progress and expand because of having sent you out).
And the deva also is linked to other devas, which are in themselves an illusion: they are a different externalisation, individualisation from God - which brings me round again to respect because in looking at animals, in looking at plants, in looking at all expressions of life you are looking at something that is a conscious externalisation of God-energy - a part of God. To make a distinction between yourself and a microbe, yourself and a leaf, yourself and an elephant, yourself and a tree, is an arrogance, an absolute arrogance! God expresses himself equally through all His manifestations - equally through all His manifestations because each manifestation carries within it the Whole, is linked to the Whole so how can one manifestation be less or more, in worth, in value and even in potential than any other?
This is an arrogance that goes back to the Fall. There was a time when souls on Earth knew that they were equal to each other and to everything else. At the time of the Fall the perceived individualisation of man grew heavier, greater, more intense, more complex and a result of that was (and a result of the original mistake) was a belief that the human soul is better than any other form of life. Such wonders await you on other worlds - if you ever reach them - there are expressions of God on other worlds that are glorious and yet those expressions are glorious simply because they realise that they are part of everything else, equal to everything else.
I am hoping in talking to you today to bring something of the wonder of Creation through to those who will read this information; to say to them: ‘You are part of a wondrous, eternal, infinite system; you are a glorious being because you are God; but equally everyone else you meet is a glorious being of equal glory because they are God; but equally everything else that you meet that is alive - from the fly on your window pane to the birds in the air to the fish in the sea - are equally glorious expressions of God.’
I ate meat but I would not do so now were I on Earth in a physical shell. Consider that – (my intention this morning is to, please, get you to consider this) - consider that the next time you are eating meat. At the very least consider and thank the animal that gave you its body. And if you are on the verge of converting from eating meat to not eating meat consider that that animal that is presented to you so you can ingest it, is and was as glorious a soul as you are. I know that these words will be met with contempt by many people but nevertheless they are true. I had cattle, I slaughtered animals and I wish I hadn’t and I have met the souls of those animals, which is a humbling thing.
So, my discourse today is in argument of vegetarianism – yes; in defence of the animal world and the planet – yes; but most of all is about respect: respect for yourselves as what you are, respect for others as what they are, respect for the animal kingdom, respect for the flora and the fauna, for the seas and respect for the planet. Also to link in to what Joseph is saying about the amount of time that physicality on this level has left - not a lot!
