Following on from the article I posted last year about the quet times and spiritual development. I wanted again to share how our gifts, can and do have this way of reminding us, what our pathway is about and when we least expect, it things jolt us back on task. This again will also link to another post that I have written about synchronicity and how it has the habit of popping, in and out of our lifetime experiences. I have tried explaining how it has encouraged, me to take steps to pursue my own pathway and in this I feel it will help others, in turn understand how to take forwards the next part their own journey.

In other articles I have expressed, how I work with spirit and in turn how I then try to pass, on some of the life lessons it give me. All my views and thoughts are again; my opinions and I hope that with them. I also try to understand others, with different views or beliefs. One of my favourite, saying that many (Roads lead to Rome.) What I mean by this is that each of us has our own unique way of working with spirit. Many tools and many facets, often come together under one large umbrella.
I would like to share with you an experience of contact with spirit in a level of communication this, happened years back but like all my connections they remain clear and memorable like it happened yesterday. I will relay the conversation and also how things have a habit of coming back with a similar message which again makes me feel that we are all given gentle reminders of why we are here and what purpose we tried to serve or do.
People often ask me how I connect with spirit, and I often say it’s like a telephone conversation. Spirit, can and often pops in for a chat and other times it can be quite persistent and have a defined subject it wants to share with me. That’s when I am asked to pass on, information for particular person, other times it makes consist of an article they want me to share.
It can start with a word, or piece of music, or even just a thought in my head. I do question my thoughts and if talking to ones self is the first sign of madness then I suppose to someone viewing me, might consider it a little odd. I have found often my computer keyboard has a mind of its own and will often write things that I did not think about or plan.
On with my story, one afternoon I was driving back from the shops when I got told we want to talk to you. My response was who wants to talk to me and WHY? The reply was that they had a question for me and wanted to know what I would do. I then said well first I need to concentrate and get home and the second was would this take long as I had a huge lot of iron to do when I got in and dinner to cook.
The voice said it would come back later and thanked me for my time.
I thought nothing of it as I was used to conversations and I had got quite used to it. Later in the day I sat down for a cup of tea and said Ok what you want to talk about.
The voice came into my head and said if I were to be given gift a pot of gold what would I do with it?
I thought about it for a moment and then I realised that with out guidance or knowledge the gold would soon disappear. If I choose to spend it with out thought it would soon go. If I buried it in the ground it again would benefit no one I would spend my days worrying that someone might find it and in the end it would be of no use. I could give it away and I would if I knew that it would benefit others.
I said to whom am I speaking with the name that came back was Saul.
I said Saul thank you but no thanks I would rather have guidance and knowledge to help others than a pot of gold that could disappear at any time. I
was not looking for commercial gain I felt I could do more if I was given guidance and that the pot of gold would grow 10 fold.
It went very quite then I heard what I would call mutterings and a conversation on a higher level. Saul replied to me and said you are a strange lady you have renewed out faith in the human race knowing that you have chosen knowledge and guidance over personal gain give us great joy.
Some would say this story is far fetched. No! I did not get a pot of gold but I did realise that at times we all want a quick fix an easy option. I wrote my conversation down on an old scrap of paper I carried around for a week or so. I told a friend of my story I was not sure if they believed me or not but I do know the moral of the story has stayed with me.
So to find out years later that the moral of using gifts or talents is also a parable again made me think is this re enforcing the message or is it again Synchronicity I liked to think it’s a bit of both. I will explain below.
I was at a friend’s house and she told me that she was doing Parables in a lesson in school she said did I know any stories that she could use. I suggested we look on the internet and we came across the story of the Parable of the Talents. Now I know the Good Samaritan story. I was not familiar with this one.
The interesting thing was that a master gives his servants gold coins then goes on a journey he tells them to use their talents to protect and help others.
One servant works hard plants a field and grows grain. He is then asked by a poor widow for help. He gives her half of his field and then uses the coins to buy more grain.
The second servant also works hard he builds a raft and ferries people back and forth over a large river in return he get given what ever the passenger can afford.
The third servant buries his coin. He does very little else he is afraid to try use the knowledge he has he has forgotten the train his master gave him instead he fritters away his time and lets others do his work for him.
The Master returns the first servant gives him back double the coins and he is pleased he sold his grain and still had enough to give something back. The second servant sells wares given by his passengers and again he can give back double what he started with.
The last servant digs up the coin and gives it back. The parable asks is he using his talents.
So flash back we are all given gifts or talents to use wisely religious or not if we keep taking and giving nothing back we end up with nothing.
Saul message to me had again been refreshed so symbol of the pot of gold is growing it don’t always feel like it but with guidance and Knowledge I keep trying to use my talents to try to help others even if at times it feels like

Times of waiting and not knowing or sure if we are learning or developing, as we walk our own life path we have periods of time when we feel at a loss. Direction of thinking is that we should be doing something or at least feeling that we aren’t just stuck in a rut or even stagnated, for the person who is feeling this particular dryness or even lack of communication it feels again like someone has turned out the light do not worry or be concerned in fact lots of things are going on it is just a time of temperance.
I know that lots of people are looking for guidance and direction and to be honest its can be a long a slow process to really actually seeing a real change we are not perfect and its easy to loose concentration and will power for what we call the silly things.
Whilst it’s great to have long term goals don’t forget you also need life tasters and testers. Small achievable tasks that show you that you’re on track.
