Today’s Tarot card is Le Bateleur (The Magician), early 19th Century, Le Tarot, by Oswald Wirth - Tarot Deck. (Wikimedia Commons)
For me, each image produces a vast amount of detail that centres around symbolism, astrology, numerology. Kabballah, psychology and esoteric mysticism. Each card has its own charm.
In particular, I will be focusing on the cartography of each Tarot card, in that each image can promptly ‘hit’ the Reader with an insightful vision of reality that awaits the client.
Nonetheless, when the singular card is linked to all other Tarot cards on the table, I see a matrix of messages that can offer a strong associating connection between all cards. With the bigger picture to hand, this is how I read for clients in private and public places.
Hope you enjoy!
Let me know if you need clarification on my interpretation.

The Magician
We have moved on from Arcanum zero (The Fool) and along comes The Magician in the series of the Major Arcana. Arcanum one is aligned to Mercury in the Zodiac affinity.
For me, to see this card during the early part of a reading with a client brings a lot of feelings of positivity about the client’s future in many ways of walking in life. Arcanum one may perhaps be seen as a step wise progression from Arcanum zero, in that The Fool is now in a position to take the step forward in his approach to life’ changes. He is competent.
The Magician appears to be more manipulative than The Fool, and so he should because he has acquired all of the ingredients to get on in life. The deep vibrancy of the background yellow represents a strong energy that may possibly support the client on his flight to accomplishment.
The card supports the four main material elements of fire, water, earth and air. It also has the backing of the four suits of the Minor Arcana (note: sword, cup, wand and pentacle). This is symbolic of completeness and balance. It is highly cantered and can easily be used as the base card though which are cards can build a bigger projection of likely outcomes.
In spite of this, the card does hypothetically over play the initial jubilation which is seen in some clients who are draw this card. Let's say that the client is capable of achieving many purposes in their life. Still, as a Tarot reader, I have to think through the possibility that the client is simply big-headed to the point where they convince themselves that they are grander to all things and to all people. Harsh as it may be, this is a big point of noteworthiness that needs consideration, because this card has so much potential but in the end, it may deliver nothing. Of course, we need more cards to see how this plays out for the client. The upshot for the client can be extreme which ranges from complete jubilation to utter despair. The Magician.jpg
